Step 14: Create the Portal Site

  • Open Portal for ArcGIS, then click 'Create New Portal'

When you navigate to the portal site, you will be prompted to create the portal site.

  • Run through Account Details and create Login Credentials

  • Once the account is created, select OK to move on to the Web Adaptor Install

  • Configure it with Portal using Initial Admin Account

    • This process will take some time

When create the portal you will need to create an application admin users account first. When you configure AD later you will be able to use the AD account for the Enterprise.

When the portal is done installing the site, you will see the screen below.

Once the portal is done, the next step is to configure the web adaptor, however if you can access the portal by the internal URL.

With ArcGIS Portal installed, the next step is to configure ArcGIS Portal with your ArcGIS Web Adaptor.
