Very similar to the process outlined in Step 9, start by opening the "ArcGIS Server Authorization" application found on your Desktop. With the Software Authorization Wizard open, select the "Third Authorization" option labeled "I have received an authorization file and am now ready to finish the authorization process." Browse for the Provisioning File for the ArcGIS Server that was downloaded from My Esri, then click 'Next'. On the following screen you'll see your Authorization Number for ArcGIS Server. Click 'Next' to continue to the next section of the wizard, which will ask if you want to add extensions. Continue this process by selecting "No Extensions At This Time", then finish the Wizard.

Steps to Activate License for ArcGIS Server

  • Open ArcGIS Server Authorization from Desktop, select the Third Authorization Option

  • Then select the ArcGIS Server Key downloaded from My Esri

  • Select First Authorization Method

  • Then choose 'No Extensions At This Time'
